Query Letter Submission Guidelines

  Hood Press, an Oregon-based book publisher, is accepting email/snail mail query letters for the following:
--children's books (we're interested in writer/illustrators--preferably not too preachy or with alliterative, inanimate objects: e.g, Tommy the Tooth Decay, Loretta La Z Boy, etc.)
--non-fiction (special interest/instructional,  history, critical essays on classic literature)
--humor (preferably funny)

--cookbooks (think niche. think underused)

  We are looking to connect with new, unpublished authors.  This is not a vanity press/ subsidy publisher--if we choose your idea, we will take care of all of the editing, design, printing, and sales fulfillment. The author will be responsible for writing the material, book signings and publicity appearances.
